Red Blouson Shift Dress

Like hundreds of seasons before, red will always be a holiday color trend.  It kind of brings out the Mrs. Claus in all of us, don’t you think?  Not only does it cause this jolt of festivity, but it allows us to stand out from a crowd.  You know red makes anyone pop!!

This holiday season you will see reds in many shades; from the deep and more vibrant to the subtle, and they give off some serious vibes.

In order to show my holiday/ Texan pride I put together this blouson sleeve-tie back shift dress with cowboy boots, layered with a fabulous gold pendant necklace and on occasion a felt hat.

Not only does it bring out the holiday spirit for me, but I love that it is extremely comfortable and leaves room for my growing baby belly. 🙂

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and of course GO COOGS!!

Color Block Poncho

The Poncho…it first made the scene around 10 years ago and now a days it has reincarnated into the very popular cape.  From Burberry’s gorgeous color block monogram to ones with stripes, Aztec and graphic prints…they are surely the cover up of choice.  I found this gorgeous one at Charming Charlie right before my Germany trip and I knew I had to have it.  I not only loved the pattern but I loved the colors of black, gray and tan; a perfect color ton for the fall and winter months.

Inspired by the South American poncho, this blanket style poncho is a favorite for all.  It is a perfect layering tool to add to any outfit and works with every style and body shape.  Whether you dress it with leggings or a super cute mini skirt with OTK boots, it is sure to make you stand out.

Neutrals

Happy Monday everyone…because it finally feels like fall in Houston!!!  I have been waiting for some below 70 degree weather for over a month now and I am excited to start being able to wear sweaters, boots, scarves, layers, and so much more versus just pieces of it here and there.

I love this fall look because it is easy and casual to wear either running around the town, grabbing brunch with your girlfriends, or on a little day date with the hubby.

Hope everyone has a fabulous week!!
